Binchotan, also known as Japanese Oak, activated charcoal, is the highest quality charcoal. These charcoals are sourced from the Kishu region of Japan.
Outstanding natural filtration properties that aid in reducing water odor and hardness, and purifying for better-tasting drinking water. Filtration time for 1-2 gallons of water is 6-7 hours.
Use 1 stick for 1-2 gallons of water; stick measures approximately 2.5-3cm in diameter and 15cm in length.
Rejuvenate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and allowing to dry.
Do not use with water that has unknown quality or is microbiologically unsafe.
