About this item
- Use 1 stick for every 2 liters of water; each stick measures around 0.75 to 1 inch (2 to 2.5 centimeters) in diameter, and is 4 centimeters (10 centimeters) long.
- Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
- Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting dry.
- Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Kishu region of Japan.
- Binchotan charcoal is effective at absorbing odor, reducing water hardness, and improving the taste of drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
